Welcome to independence! In this class the two to three-year old children spend a great deal of time exploring: pushing, pulling, filling, dumping, and touching. Here your child will thrive in the loving and warm atmosphere of this class where predictable routines, language-building group times, learning centers, and daily chapel time will further individual successes to promote confidence and self-esteem. Our goal is to encourage and assist your child in growing physically, socially, and spiritually. We are here and ready as children become surer of themselves and of what they can do as they grow. In Room 3, we want children to take pride in their classroom by being a "classroom helper." This gives them a feeling of ownership and a desire to come to "school" each day. We strengthen verbal skills by teaching finger plays and songs, which also supports a toddler's love for imagination. We offer many opportunities for hands-on discovery, dramatic play, building trust, and developing self-help skills abound. This class also offers cooperative potty training for toddlers who are ready to be a "big kid!" We appreciate parent input and corporation. Parent phone calls and emails are encouraged! |
