Mrs. Pielstick & Mrs. Worthey's Fifth Grade

We will be team teaching this year and we are very excited for an amazing year with our fantastic fifth grade students.  We are excited to partner with parents in the training of their children and consider it a great privilege to work with each student.

A little bit about us-

Lisa Pielstick- I graduated from Washington State University with a BA in Education and have a Washington and California teaching credential.  I also completed a Masters program in Christian School Leadership and Teaching through Regent University. This is my 25th year in education and I've been a teacher in both public and private schools. I served at FCCA from 1989-1995 as a teacher/principal so I have experience in juggling both roles.  I will be in the classroom in the morning handling the Language Arts and Bible teaching.  I will be in the classroom during the Math block and will be assisting Mrs. Worthey and the students where needed.  I look forward to sharing additional information about my background and about our goals for this class at Back to School night.

Ashley Worthey- I graduated from California State University, Fresno this past spring.  I'll be obtaining my California teaching credential this year as part of the Cal Teach program.  I have extensive experience working with children including tutoring, subbing, extended care and I served as the FCCA summer camp director this past summer.  I attended FCCA from the age of 2 through 2nd grade and then continued my education at Vacaville Christian Schools.  I will be in the classroom beginning at 11:00 am and working with the students in Math, History, Science, Spelling and Art.  I can't wait to help your child succeed and look forward to meeting everyone.
