My name is Sherry Ogden and I will be your child's third grade teacher this year.  You and I will be spending more time with your child in the year than any other adult.  Because of this, I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a few things about myself, both professionally and personally.

    I received my degree from Cal Poly and attended Fresno State and National University for my credential.  I taught for two years before moving to the valley.  I am married with three wonderful grown children and two grand daughters.  I stayed at home raising my children before returning to FCCA 18 years ago.

    This school year will be exciting.  I am looking forward to a very productive year as your child starts a new chapter in his/her life.  Many special events are already planned for this year; including musicals, science fair, talent show, Grandparent's day, the Exploratorium and much more.  Because of so many things that will be happening throughout the school year, I will keep you updated in a weekly letter sent home in your child's special delivery folder every Friday.  

     Parents are the most  important people in a child's life and we need to work together for the benefit of the child.  I need you to support academic, homework, and discipline efforts here at school.  With home and school working together, I know that each and every student can have his or her most successful school year yet.

    I will be keeping in close contact with you all year long.  Please do the same with me.  I welcome your calls and messages.  Anytime you have anything you would like to discuss with me, feel free to call or email.
